DISH Network Parental Locks by Ratings

Based on Motion Picture Association of America ratings.

You have the option to select additional protection based on expanded ratings such as violence, language, nudity and sexual content.

DISH Network Parental Locks by Channel

Prevent anyone from viewing selected channels unless they enter the correct password.

Lock any channel, including movie channels, Pay-Per-View and local channels.
To set channel locks, press the MENU button on your remote, select LOCKS then choose the locks appropriate for your family. Once you’ve made your selection, lock the system to set a password which will ensure you have control over the programming you want and don’t want.

The user is allowed to restrict viewing of certain programs and channels based on a password protected lock. This can be selected by the specific ratings of a program (based on the Motion Picture Association of America ratings) with the option to select additional protection that is based on expanded ratings such as violence, language, nudity and sexual content. A second way to restrict viewing is by selecting a specific channel. If a channel is chosen, the user will have to the correct password in order to view the channel. Any channel, including movie channels, pay-per-view and local channels can be locked. The Parental control lock option is simple and easy to use. It can be accessed from the Menu button on your remote. The parental controls and system locks can be deactivated from the main menu.
